What would you do?
dropped off my cls63 yesterday at merc service for 16k mile service which is really just an over priced oil change. They had to keep it over night because they had to order a part for the brake recall. I left my $300 Maui jims in their case in that small compartment under the drivers seat. I thought about taking them with me but figured it was merc - they won't steal them. I didn't know I'd have to leave the car there over night. Picked up the car today and found the glasses and the case were gone. Any advice? I'm 100% sure they were stolen. I told the service guy that maybe someone set them aside while they worked on the car. He went to the back but said no sign and no one had seen them. This is not the kind of service I expect on a $100k mercedes.
Am I just out of luck?

I would make a complaint with the service manager. If he doesn't do anything about it, I would ask to speak to the General Manager.
I used to run a finance office at a dealership and we had something similiar happen. I was able to help the owner get compensated for his stolen camera after talking to the GM.

If you think you are a victim of theft, file a police report, that should get their attention. You are not accusing them of a crime, only attesting that a crime was committed.

if you are 100% sure they stole your Maui's file a complaint and have them replace your glasses, theft is unacceptable in any business and they should make you whole.
Similar thing happen to me and my maui's by a sub contractor working at my home, contractor reimbursed me and fires the sub contracting company on the spot.
