too much going on at once, the front bumper looks good as does the exhaust (AC shnitzer wannabe).

 

i voted hate it just because the wing and side fenders are ****in awful. the rest looks good.

The front end looks good. Overall a beautiful car is ruined.

That blocky body kit does not go with the natural lines of the car. And, those wings look lame on everything. Also, I hope those concept photos are inaccurate. There is no way the body lines of the CLS should be broken up that way.

 

Looks like a junkyard/garage "ricey" job by some heavy-handed modder who doesn't have a clue nor recognizes the elegance of this car. The rear spoiler is terrble; painted black on a white car: that's atrocious. Hopefully it's a one-off!!

 

See.....the challenge/problem w/ externally mod'ding the CLS is simple: while you can mod it (Brabus Rocket comes to mind, for one), it is a very difficult car (Ericson lower lip is a nice touch) to make any more impressive, more elegant, "swoopier," etc. What does that tell you? This is one of those most rare designs that says" "it is what it is, and doesn't need to be what it isn't."
IMHO, one of the most beautiful 4 door cars currently under production and a benchmark in auto design (like the old Audi 5000/100 was). They both stood the auto design world on its head and widely emulated thereafter....after competitors and the market stopped gasping, that is.

 

It looks cheap and ricer. Awful.

 

I seem to recall seeing a lot of body kits like that in the mid-eighties around South Beach in Miami. It screams of Crocket and Tubbs.
