Decision on Wheels???? Advice PLEASE!!!!!
Hello everyone,
I was hoping someone would give me some advice on picking out some rims for my black CLS55 AMG. There are so many rims out there my head is spinning, just looking for rims for the last month. I'm looking for an aggressive, great quality rim but I'm not trying to pay an arm and a leg for them. I want something that's not going to fall apart on the highway, while driving. Seems like everybody and there mother is in the wheel business these days. I don't know where the quality stands with each wheel manufacturer.
I've been looking at Lowenhart LE1, Auto monde coventry, petrol Metrix, Zone 10's and Vossen VVS082's. I really want to stay with 19's instead of 20's because I will be tuning the car with Renntech. Preferably a brush face with chrome lip. Any help would be appreciated. Any picture post would be appreciated.
Has anyone agonize with this decision when they were buying wheels?
Thanks in advance to all reponding.

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
Just based on what you've indicated so far, it appears you like the look of a 10-spoke wheel and interested in making the car quicker/faster.
If so, I would stay away from those cast wheels.
Spend a little more and look for forged aluminum wheels to reduce unsprung weight as this alone will improve several performance aspects (i.e. acceleration, braking, handling) and will be well worth their price, in my opinion.
Example of forged 10-spoke wheels:
HRE Comp93
Radenergie R10
Iforged Imola
DPE ST10
The first two I listed cost more than the last two, but at least you have a range to pick from.
Enjoy shopping!

I'm finding out that these forged wheels are pretty pricey. Any recommendation on a great looking 10 spoke design that is of good quality and is of great value? I'm not going to be drag racing so a light weight 3piece forged is not necessary or is a requirement. I want a great design, nice lip quality built rim that won't fall apart on the highway. Read a post on some Sevas wheels falling a part on highway and the car got totalled. Yikes!!
I just want a great looking eye catcher. Wheel to compliment the car without making the car BLING BLING!

Anything forged will be pricey regardless if its 19" or 20". These rims usually look the best, and have the most options.
The good thing now is with the bandwagon of rim companies out there, there are cheaper options that look great and are built well. Take time do research, find out what style you want and I would bet that 2-3 companies make a version similar to what you want..
