The battery is centered over the rear axel, It takes a bite out of the spare tire well.

don't get the sense as the battery to the right somehow counter weighs the driver' load

^^not as much skating, but it's still close to my heart, and yes, I have been known to pick up an axe and rock!
currently working on getting a new Jackson: a RR model, leaning towards the blue one

Have an 07 SL55 fully optioned including the 030 package. Believe it is the only red/black fully optioned 030 package car imported. Mine still only has 12K miles. 030 package really changes the car from a stock SL55 which is saying something.
