Body kits for Cls63

Hello everyone,

I have posted few threads regarding some performance upgrades on my new 09 cls63 and I also had few questions regarding exterior upgrades. I have been looking around for a while to find any good quality body peices that could be installed without ruining the fantastic AMG bodywork. The only products that fits onto AMG bodywork seems to be the carlsson RS lip spoiler and the lorinser roof spoiler. Has anyone installed these things? If so, does the installation process involve demanding jobs such as drilling? Most importantly, do you like them? I was not sure if these things work well with the car. Here are the links for the images. Thanks~

I think the carlsson lip really goes well with the CLS. I personally think that the lorinser kit is a little over the top. As far as installation goes, it should be pretty straight forward with both companies. There won't be any drilling involved, they should have excellent fitment out of the box and not require any modification. The only thing you should look out for is a parktronic compatible bumper, if you have it.

I am in the same boat as you. I also have been contemplating the the different options for the CLS. Initially I was going to order the Carlsson lip. However, if you see pictures of it installed from the side, it protrudes from the car. Perhaps it's just me, but it doesn't appear to flow well because of that.

I really like the Kleemann lip. A member has one installed on a white CLS and it looks perfect. The other option I am debating is a bit more extreme, but more unique. The Brabus rocket front bumper. A few members have it installed and it definatley gives the car more of an agressive look.

I hate the carlsson lip, i have one and it sucks, the fit is really bad, plus it boulsters out too much on the sides which makes it kinda hard to drive if your car is lowered, going in and out of driveways sucks.
The ROCKET bumber is really cool and looks crazy but remember you loose your fogs forever .

I love the look of the Carlsson front lip.

The Kleemann is also another alternative...

As far as roof spoilers, Lorinser is the only one who makes one to my knowledge for a CLS....

If you want to change out ur front bumper, the Brabus Rocket front is amazing, and actually flows well with your AMG Rear

PM me for special pricing on all these products..

It really depends on what kind of look your going for... Carlsson stuff is definatly cleaner more subtle... I think would go with the Carlsson...

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
I don't mind losing the front fog lights.

That said, have you seen the full bumper replacement by MH Dezent?
I got a quote from the manufacturer which was more expensive than the Brabus Rocket bumper.

Anyone know of distributors in the US that sell MH Dezent?

I think you should look into The Brabus Program for the CLS, they manufacture high quality parts for your vehicle.

If you are undecided toward what kit feels visually better I can try and photo shop the kit into your car if you have photos with the right angles. I can assure you though that if you go with a Brabus Authentic part you will not have fitment issues.

We offer their full line up of styling accessories so if you have any questions please feel free to contact me and I'll be glad to assist you.

I love nmy Carlsson front lip. I rather hit the front lip and driveways than the OEM bumper. The Carlsson lip fits my car pretty good. As for the roof spoiler. I purchased my spoiler from Performance Products for almost $400 I think. I am happy with both items. Sorry, these are some old pics when I had my previous wheels on it.

Thanks for all your thoughts For those who have installed these things, was their drilling or any other mod involved during the installation with the carlsson spoiler? I do like the brabus bumper but I would rather keep my amg one and just add little touch to it. Thanks~

I had to drill holes through the bottom of the bumper to mount Carlsson front lip.
