Change badging on 55 to 63?

Hello Members,

Please forgive me for my question.

Is changing the badging on my 55 to the 63 badging a big no no?

The cars are indentical besides the badging and engine.

Would this be a MB enthusiast no no?

The 55 is respectful in its own way. If I had one I would personally leave it as a 55.

I personally prefer the Supercharger. I'm not biased or anything!

Without reading past the first post I can say why do such a thing? The CLS55 is already an extravagant car and the true enthusiast know it SCed and things could be lurking there besides the factory stuff. A CLS63 is amazing on its own but can you see or understand an owner re-badge it to 55 badges?

It would be AS bad as a 500 owner stickin a 55 badge. Sure you have an AMG but you dont have a 6.3.....so it would be poser status

You don’t say what your motivation is ?

Is it so passing folks will think it's a newer model year, 2008-2009 ?

Everyone love’s the 55 motor and the CLS55 is a rare car in most of the world. 5 short years from now the average mileage on a CLS55 will be 100,000 miles. Since only 2,765 were made in 2006, twenty five years from now the CLS55 will highly prized and rare ($$$) at auctions. I suspect the CLS63 2007-2009 production will total 12,000-15,000 cars and will be much less collectable then your 2006.

.

If you change the badges we may have to tie you up and flog you in public.

Thats for even thinking it.

The best way to change badging is to have the MB Dealer do it.

A 63 badge costs about $115K +/-, even less with a trade in.

Would you change your 328i badge to a 335i badge?

Why bother ,Jump straight to the 760li, and then GT-R for the 350z?

Seriously though, if you changed the 55 to a 63, You would fool 99.9% of the people on the road, BUT you'll be the 100% poser at the dealer.
