2005 E55 ///AMG
At 570 horses, I don't see why they should abandon the 6.2 liter engine. It can easily by brought up to the 570 horse spec without FI.
I suppose a twin turbo 5.4 liter is better fuel efficiency than a NA 6.2 liter with same horse power specs....also I believe the 5.4 liter engine is much less cost to produce.
Perhaps the experts will chime in.

20+ to list......
I'm sure the AMG bodykit would make the next CLS very desirable, if the rumored 5.0L V8 twin turbo is indeed true, (Will have to call some people to get a definite answer on that.) I'm getting one for sure. This is not the first time AMG downsize the displacement of a motor and add forced induction to it, ie. the C32 was the successor replacing the C43, which its V8 was replaced by a supercharged V6.

The most pressing question I have after reading that article is which of those models/engines will be sold in the US (magazines usually give the complete lineup with an idea of which will be sold where).
I am most excited about the CLS350 CDI, hopefully they will pick a different number though to differentiate from the CGI. It will be more powerful, so perhaps, CLS360 CDI? That would be a nice homage to the M104 AMG 36 engines.

Same here
I read an article some where. It states that the CLS55 twin turbo wont be available till late 2011 as a 2012 model. Oh well, its worth the wait for me.

It's ok, but I would more than likely trade up on a 08-09 in a couple of years.
I guess it's all about the person and what they like.
