How do reset a service light

for accurate instructions, do a search on this forum... that's how I figured out how to do it for my CLS after basic services like oil changes.
in general, you need to put the key in position 2.
once the system boots up, the service reminder message should come up. if not, then use the steering wheel buttons to switch to the service message.
once you have the message displayed, press & hold the black reset button to the left of the instrument cluster for about 5 to 10 seconds.
this will bring up the hidden service menu and you can use the steering wheel buttons to get to the service type you did and then select and confirm the service.
