Dirt truck cracked my windshield today
On my way home from the store, a dirt truck that didn't cover its load had a rock the size of about half-a-fist fly off of it and it landed on my windshield, putting a crack about the size of a one-dollar coin in it. Those f'ing dirt trucks!
Time to call my insurance company....since it will be covered, do you guys recommend going to the dealer for a replacement windshield or a different place? Anyone know about how much they run?

How much is your deductible? I am no expert, but maybe you should have gotten his license plate number and contacted the police dept. I do believe there are laws regarding mudflaps on trucks so there is a possibility that their company could have been liable for it for not covering their load. As for pricing the window will be $535 + install approx $150 and of course you should get oem

Yes you should have gotten the Lic plate. They will have to replace the wind shield..... been there done that twice on 2 of my cars. They can get fined too!
