2006 CLS 55 AMG

X-Pipe in place of resonator..

I removed the resonator and had a x-pipe put in it's place and it sounds much better!! Much more "exotic" and smooth sounding compared to the older muscle car sound it used to have. It's not much louder but I'm planning on getting custom mufflers put in next. I would recommend this modification to those of you who want a little more tone but not much more volume in your exhaust.

I don't have any pictures but Kinney's Muffler Shop in Hurst, TX did it. They are a very well known and high quality exhaust shop around here. They will be doing my custom mufflers and the owner will then take a video showing the quality of the system (under the car) and then some revs and drive bys. I'll be sure to post it here after I get that done. It cost 275 installed and I believe it was a polished hydroformed x pipe made by magnaflow.

I am going to try today and go complete straight pipe without muffler. will drive around for a week to see how loud or annoying it will be.. will keep you all updated.....
