Hey guys how do you get folding mirrors if you don't have it? What do I have to buy or do to enable this option? Thanks in advance.

i looked into that a long time ago, from what i was told you need the internal Mirror parts from and S class. Then the car has to be programmed to be an e class. that's as far as i have gotten....there is lots of talk about it, but noone seems to want to make a DIY for it, or even offer to do it for a price. i heard it was a detailed install...

There's a kit you can buy for about $650-$900. You can use the existing mirrors or be non-glare ones. I'll send u the info once I find it.

I have them on my cls63 - the original owner added them before I bought the car. You can reach out to Motorwerks of Houston (SunilP) for more details - they did the install.

I'm interested too so I googled this and found in Europe dealers offer mirrors, heated steering wheel, steel debris plates and more:

Steel carter protection plate: 2mm-thick steel plate to prevent oil pan damage from road debris

Here's the info?

A new set of power folding mirrors for the 219 CLS can be offered
for Euro 625 including shipment per International Priority Post (1-3
weeks transit time). Your current mirror covers (and glasses, if you
wish) must be re-used. You can get your car programmed with
stardiagnose at the MB dealer to make the mirrors auto fold when
locking the car.

* A new set of Euro convex shaped mirror glasses with anti blind spot
on both sides can be included for Euro 285.

You can use the following link to convert the prices: www.oanda.com.

Thanks for the information. Sounds like a $1,000 job.

Hi,

Any URL to point to that offer ?

Or it's now an optional feature we can get from MB dealer at this price... ?

Thanks

For the damn amount we paid for the CLS, can't believe Mercedes does not include it.

Hi,

I have a deal for 500 € including new module, coding, new folding basis.
Mirrors and external covers are re-used with the new folding basis.

Will post some pics when work is done
