Review of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S
Here's my quick review of the Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season (OEM Replacements) so hopefully this will help someone with their purchase decision ...
Note: This is not the same tire as the New Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season Sport "Plus"
Driving Style = moderate
80% highway miles
1) Great traction in the rain
2) Good traction on dry pavement
3) Tires lasted approx. 25k miles (not a misprint)
4) First 10k miles were great
5) Last 15k miles were extremely loud (and embarrassing) -- but I kept them because there was still 65% tread remaining after 10k miles
6) Front tires lasted slightly longer than rear tires
I've used Pirelli P-Zero (OEM) and tried the Bridgestones Potenza, and compared to the Michelins ... the Michelins were basically louder, but lasted longer. Traction was about the same. But based on the noise alone I would never buy them again.
Next up: Hankook Ventus V12 Evo ...

It varies on the use of the car. I have had the Pilot A/S for about 27K, the rears were replaced at about 26K, the fronts have quite a bit left on them.
I didn't experience the loudness you are mentioning though, they did get a little louder but not much.
I am glad you did note these are not the same as the A/S Plus, which is what are on the rears on my CLS now, and do handle better, better traction, not to mention 45K warranty/500TW rating. Those Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's only have a TW280 rating, I doubt they will last as long.

I just bought Michelin Pilot spot A/S 1 month ago. I drive pretty aggressive but I'm enjoying them so far. I woulda went with the PS2's but this krazy NY weather made me go with the Pilot sport A/S. I got them off tire rack, the 2 back tires ran me over $500 for both. I'm 2 thumbs up far but it's only 1 month.

i'm still using my Pilot Sports A/S on my car, they are great.
But i DO agree with you about the sound, it certainly gets louder the longer you drive with it.
I purchased a new set of rims and I bought the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo!
I guess we have similar taste!
