Hello, First post. Got my wife an 06 CLS AMG, she loves it, except for the exhaust. I find it intoxicating, she can't stand it. It is pretty loud. I am interested in purchasing a stock muffler, or even trading this one. I don't have specs on the muffler, but I can take pics.

Is there a good place other than Ebay to look for a muffler?

I'm interested. How loud is loud? Is there droning inside the cabin? Can you carry on a conversation without it being too intrusive?

Here are pics, I will try to do a sound clip later. There is a drone at certain rpm's, but not so loud you can't talk. I have an M3 with a super sprint race exhaust and it does the same thing around 2600 rpm it drones.

The sound (to me) is euphoric! We went to a funeral last week in separate cars, she took off in a long side of me, I had my windows down. It sounded like an angry ferrari, not the high pitched sound, but a mean cracking growl. I loved it!

I just took the pics, its says silverline on the pipes, might not be borla? Thats what the previous owner told me. Not much of a muffler there!
