Could anybody help me out here? I'd like to know more about the Brabus ELM.. it seems like no one has one installed and no one talks about it in this community.. I only hear Renntech and Carlsson ELM.. I'd like to know how much Brabus ELM cost and is it similar to Carlsson ELM or what.. How much does it lower your CLS?

Im assuming the CLS in your sig has it installed, is that the highest or lowest setting. Seems a bit too low

man you guys are sure biased... I'd like to know more about the other ELM's and I'm sure other people in this community would too.. Instead everyone keeps rambling about Carlsson or Renntech ELM's.. I did a search on it and found out a lot about both but nothing about Brabus, Kleeman, etc ELM's..


What's the difference between these ELM's..

Carlsson I know can drop a max of 30mm. It raises a little as the car drives, and it lowers as the car sits still. 100% plug and play.

Renntech V3 can drop to ANY level. You can adjust the settings via remote or labtop through a usb cable. 100% plug and play but not as easily as Carlsson.

If you want the best flexibility in ability to adjust ride heights, then the Renntech ELM is the only choice, since its remote capability allows you to adjust ride height on the fly (or while stationary). If you're more of a set it once and forget about it kind of person, then just buy mechanical adjustable lowering links and save yourself $1K or so - you don't really need a module.

I plan to get ELM regardless, I like the idea of 100% plug and play requiring no cutting and such.. And still it goes on about Renntech.. What about the Brabus ELM!?!? ANYONE!?!

Just buy the Renntech or Carlsonn module; you won't go wrong with either so long as you understand their respective advantages and disadvantages.

The Renntech is not plug and play you have to pull pins out of the harness and move them around. You simply set the C-tronic to whatever hight you want up to 34mm front and 24mm rear. You then you use the control button on the shifter console to raise and lower the car all you want there is no need for a remote control. The C-tronic just lowers it beyond each factory settings. Lowering your car is not that big of a deal its a set and forget kind of thing.

Still... there people in the community like myself that would like to at least KNOW about the Brabus ELM for knowledge... especially because Brabus is my favorite tuning for MB and I'd like to know about their ELM and how it is different compare to the other ELM's... if the Brabus ELM is exactly the same as the Carlsson ELM I would buy the Brabus ELM.

I'm leaning more towards the C-Tronic atm because I too believe its not necessary to keep changing the settings on the go... Whats the max drop for CLS while driving without rubbing? Does the C-Tronic lower the CLS to the maximum? I know the Renntech V3 can lower the CLS to no limit but what's the point if you can only lower the CLS to a maximum...

i would confirm with renntech first on the no-limit lowering -- another mbworld member with an s350 overseas told me that the car would only lower 50mm.

EDIT: i was unclear in the original post, he has the new v3 too.

I dont know what the max drop is but with my car set to 34mm front and 24mm rear on sport II my car does not rub anywhere. Here are some pics i took on sport II this morning this is the height when driving.

Why do you keep saying the Renntech is plug and play?? its not plug and play. Also clearly nobody has the brabus, just like nobody had the carlsson when i purchased mine. Contact a vendor or Brabus and ask them about the product.
