Upgraded my stereo...
Wow What a HUGE difference! Installed the peripheral unit for the factory stereo in the trunk. Went with the Alpine PDX5 Amp (that thing is badddd) Replaced all speakers with Alpine components. 12 Alpine sub with a nice angled box that fits snugly in the rear corner of the trunk! Im gonna get some pics from my installer. Now I truly realize what a piece of crap the factory set up really was.
LOUD LOUD LOUD and crystal clear sound!

The peripheral allowed us to keep the stock stereo/navigation. Yes I will get pics up soon. The nice part is that it takes a long twist of the volume knob before anything distorts.

Why do some people post stuff like this and then never come back to update the thread and answer questions?

The flat "pancake" subwoofer was replaced with the 12" Alpine. It really didnt take up much room. The peripheral isnt as fancy as the one above but this whole thing really works. All speakers were replaced and everything looks stock.
