Unplugged battery, now windows won't auto close

I had to unplug the battery to remove a subwoofer from the trunk. Now the auto close on the windows doesn't work- when you open the door, it cracks, then closes completely after you close the door. Any suggestions?

turn the car on, hold the window button down for 10 sec. when it is all the way down. then roll the window up and hold the window button up for 10 sec. you will have to do this for each window from the driver side door.
