Where can i buy the convex mirrors?

I tried emailing benznl from their site, but no response.

Haven't been able to find them elsewhere. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

$410. not sure if that's a stand alone price as he quoted it as an add-on to the folding mirrors. That was a lot more cake than i thought would be involved for just replacing mirrors. price of a benz i guess.

it's an add on option. think it might be a euro spec thing. But can be added to US models. needs a stardiagnose programming to automatically fold when the car is locked. steve from benznl sells them and can do installation.

410 seems high for just the mirrors. they are just regular old euro replacement glass.

in addition, do a search of the forums. about three years ago there was a guy who took the s-class folding mirror internals and put them in the cls. if I remember correctly, he had to move a couple of wires around in the harness but it worked for him. I was going to do it but ultimately decided not to spend the money.

If i recall, one of the mirros has the dimming feature and the heating feature in it making it much more expensive. it's not just a glass mirros piece.

With the convex mirrors are they dimming on BOTH sides or just the driver's? Is it pre-wired on US spec cars on the right?

on the convex, both sides are dimming but you only have stock power to the drivers side. if you put them in, you won't notice the difference.

That is not correct. One can easily tell by looking at the glass itself.

Do you have these mirrors in your car? I do, but I am confused as to where I was not correct. Please tell me where I am going wrong.

Look at my sig link. The pic therein makes it easy to tell the difference. Only driver's side is dimmable

In your sig you link to your mirrors and on those it is clear that only one is dimmable. However, they do not look like the mirrors in my 2006 w219 which are the same as the ones in the OP's 2007 w219 and who I was replying to. In the convex euro mirrors for the w219, they are both heated and both dimming. As I stated, the dimming only is powered on the drivers side and because the wire is not present to power this function on the passengers side, while equipped with the ability it will not dim. Furthermore, as I stated in my prior post, if you install dual dimming mirrors on the w219 but do not have the dimming function installed on the passengers side, you will never notice the difference because they look the same in practical experience.

To add further confusion to this subject, I have a MY 09 CLS and it has convex mirrors on both passenger and drivers side. Both mirrors are heated, but only the drivers side mirror is self dimming. My car is Aussie spec.

Cheers

I think you may be correct there Dogshine. Anyways, goodluck to the OP in finding what he requires.

Cheers
