How do you deactivate the SBC Brake system to change brake pads

Hello all,
I need to change my brake pads on my cls55amg. The reading i have been doing says that i need to deactivate the SBC before i do anything. Can someone tell me how to do this and if it is required before changing brake pads? Also please instruct how to turn it back on after i am done with the installation. Thanks alex
