NISSAN GTR VS CTS-V
i know this has nothing to do with mercedes but just out of curiosity i would like to see this match up. both cars are beating everybody besides the zr1 vette. cast your votes, i would go with the cts-v although i hate american cars i feel like this might be an ideal match. both ehicles weigh the same and i believe they are both awd and ones 480hp vs 600hp

unless the new one has changed, CTS-v is not 600 hp, it's slightly detuned, 556 hp and 550 torque or something like that. It runs in the 12's. The tuned CLS55's on this forum can easily beat a stock CTS-V.
The GT-R runs in the 11's, at least, doing a quick search on dragtimes.com, most all stock cars are running in the 11's.
Therefore, GT-R wins.
ZR-1 is another story. On dragtimes, there's a stock car that has run in the 10's.

CLS55 AMG
Yeah those ZR-1's are crazy. My cousin ran a 10.6 with stock w/ street tires @ MIR. I don't recall the mph, but does it really matter?

Yeah, my brother-in-law has on 09 Z06. Those things are race cars. ZR-1's are 1 sec faster still.
09 Z06 engine power is about the same as mine, 505 hp 470 ft lb torque, but it's 1200 lbs. lighter.

They should offer a "race" version of the AMG lines. Where the weight is stripped out to the extreme to get an advantage(e.g lightweight seats, less luxurious items that weight down vehicle such as airmatic, etc.). I been in corvettes those things are straight bare bones, feels very lightweight.
