BRABUS ROCKET VENTED HOOD

I am looking at getting the Brabus Rocket hood with the vents to allow hot air to escape. Ive also emailed Brabus but havent gotten any response back. Anyone know the best place to get the hood?

All I know is the vents look sick. Very under stated and classy. You could get a good fabricator and body shop to do it.

Ya i am thinking about going to a body shop but im just worried about killing the quality. But yes i do agree the vents are SWEET looking! How hard do you think it would be to fabricate a hood like that?

i was able to buy the Brabus rocket bumper, and i had the option of either the urethane one or the $$$ CF version. never thought to inquire about the hood though.

I got a hold of Brabus and they said they dont make these hoods anymore due to water getting into the engine components.

A while back I had vents put into my Mustang GT. The actually supplied rain gutters to help the water drain around the engine and not into it. Worked great but pollen and dust got everywhere. Worth the look!

i dont have any pics yet but ill take some soon.

i wish i could have got the CF one instead. it looks a bit different, especially the grills on both sides. they go in deeper. u can see it quite well on these pics. btw do u know what rear diffuser that is on the second pic?

On the bumper it looks deeper because thats the real Brabus Rocket with the intercoolers right by the big air dams. The bumper on our cars look like the pic on my sig. For the rear diffuser it looks like its an attachment that you just screw onto the rear bumper but i hear that you have to have the non amg body for this to work which is very strange. For the cf issue. I have the 3m cf vinyl i got from the godfather and im just going to apply them to the sides of the bumper. If it works out il let you know.

You woulda regretted wasting a couple more $k on the CF. The full CF has no place out on the street since it'd crack and be non-repairable at the first parking curb or bottom-out. I'm stock height on the brabus bumper and I've rashed up the front plenty of times enough to where a CF would have cracked.

Those are the real Brabus Rocket bumpers, what we have is the street version. I have modified my bumper to look very similar with the real one, including the cf.

As for the hood, I had it custom fabricated. In the 2+ years I have had the hood, it has been a pain in the ***. You will get a huge amount a dirt and debris in the engine bay, and you constantly have to worry about water and other stuff getting in. Aesthetically it looks great, but if you are in a cold/wet weather climate don't even think about it. You will run into more headaches than it's worth.

Here are some pics

Thanks for the compliments.

It is a CLK Black Series steering wheel, if I remember correctly it was a direct plug and play with our cars. You retain all the functionality and it feels a lot better than the normal one. I purchased mine from ebay Germany, I think the seller was AEG tuning or something like that. It ended up being around $1000 including shipping, which is still about 65% off normal MB list price for the steering wheel.

CEC had the hood they pretty much made a few of them for sale. they had major problems with the way the water comes thru the hood and getting some sensors wet and causing problems. as per rick at cec. but there was a guy TheWorkshopMB who was selling them. hit him up and see what he says.

All,

This weekend I got a flat tire and my jack slipped crushing my passenger side skirt on my cls55. I'm curious if you guys can make any recommendations if I should go aftermarket for a replacement or to the factory? How can I get this fixed as cheap as possible?

I do not have any experience with their products but they seem pretty good and are not fiberglass. I have been looking at their Rocket Rep bumper, but it think thats the only thing that looks good, the side skirts and rear bumper are kind of fugly. but they have 2 types so not sure...
