Is CLS55 (non Keyless-Go) Shift-knob supposed to have a blank aluminum indent @ tip?
Not sure if I'll be picking this one up, but wanna make sure if I do, I don't get jipped in that area.
On a side note, CLS55 seems to be the worlds best buy/coolest car for the money, I've always had reservations toward the CLS, but I think when equipped as a full AMG model, and after analyzing what I didn't like about the design to begin with, I'm almost completely in love. Also I dare say the car is pretty timeless so far, as the proportions and design were so inventive and modern when it came out, it seems while other companies catch up, the CLS still holds its ground as well as it did the day it came out.
One gripe is the interior doesn't appear to be as durable as the W211's, as even with low-ish miles, the CLS interiors seem to show some wear and tear easily.
Also, Dealers have been holding onto certain examples for months, and seem to refuse to budge on pricing. I love the car, but as these cars get out of Warranty, nobody want to touch a 470 HP S/C M-B beast. As well, with a new body around the corner, resale will suffer more. Such is the nature of the beast.
I'll stop rambling now.
on a side note... the other day I was at a stoplight just minding my own business and the car was being photographed by some people in another car like the paparazzi. Even at 5 years old this car is still breaking necks!
I don't doubt that at all, the CLS55 I drove felt like the roads Rock Star. I think the design is still unique and unknown enough that it'll be an attention grabber for some time.
Enjoy!
