12v from rearview mirror
Anyone use the the power from the review mirror to direct wire a radar detector? or would it be easier to tap into the overhead console where the dome light is?

Any answer to this one, ever? Would be curious if others have tried to do it. Would like to but don't want to tab into the electrical system if I'm just going to get errors.

I tapped into the overhead console for mine for now. When you open the door the system powers on and when you turn off the car and lock it it powers off within 45-60 seconds. My preference would be to find an actual power in the console/moonroof or mirror area that is tied to the actual iginition being turned on so it doesn't always turn of if I just open my door to get something out of the car. It works fine for now though. If anyone finds one that is better and tied to actual ignition please share.
