PISSED, Dump truck debris smashed my Windshield!!
I was on i295 in NJ. Yesterday, wasn't even in the same lane and some debris flew out of truck and put a softball size dent in my windshield. I can actually chip away pieces of glass from my windshield.
My wife wrote down license plate and co. Info. I pulled up beside him to motion him over but he kept going.
Is there a way I can make truck co. Pay damages otherwise gotta pay my $500 deduct.

Big trucking companies will typically pay for the damage to a windshield in my experience. Also, some states have glass coverage included in your personal auto policy that DOES NOT count towards your deductible or even claim history (MN is one of them).
I know this really sucks, but if you make an insurance claim you can insist on having OEM glass (with State Farm at least) with no additional charges.

I have State Farm. I'm gonna call the trucking co. Tomorrow and see if they will cover it. I don't have glass coverage so I would have to pay the $500 deduct.

Normally, if its a larger carrier and you call them nicely, they'll take care of you. I had that happen to me about 10 years ago and they told me to get them an estimate. Paid it over the phone.

Yeah I called the owner first and he gave me the shaft. So I had Progressive shaft that guy right back!! They couldn't contest the pictures either. $1000 paid.
