cosmetic wise, the front bumper bottomed out causing the mesh grill to break a clip, and sometimes the mesh gets loose but does not fall off the bumper. there are scratches where the bumper bottoms out but you can only see if u look under, so i gess its not that bad. on the left side of the bumper there are scuff marks and the seller claims its only the 3m tape that got peeled off. i also have attached a picture of that. please let me know what all of you think, as i have saved up my money and dont want to be dissapointed in the long run. i kno i kno, pre inspection, but what else shud i do? what do i look for? etc..

also, its still under factory warranty until this october 13. my question about the warranty is how do i get it under my name if i purchase the car? i heard if its under factory warranty then any buyer can be eligible for warranty until it expires.
The problems you mentioned could be indicative of two things. 1) An **** owner or 2) a Lemon. I'm leaning towards the Lemon because of the fact that it failed Smog. The price is nothing too exciting for that type of mileage and condition. You may want to hold off and keep looking until you find something a bit more reliable.
But on a positive note there is still existing warranty in case you experience any problems with the car from now until October.
The prices are holding up pretty well on the 55 even with the new ugly car coming out.
You would be much better off if you continue to shop. Spend another $10k now and get a car with 20k less miles and a nice CPO car with no stories. The second that warranty ends in October you could see an easy $10k in repair costs come out of nowhere on a 55 or a 63.
I say take a pass on this one. There are other fish out there if you are not terribly picky with the color you want.
