Help needed on the engine!

Help needed on the engine!
Hi guys, I was cleaning my engine bay yesterday and then realised I have got something on top of the engine cover missing. Notice the little black box on top of the intake manifold towards the firewall end, the one between those two intake pipes, I just dont see one there on my engine cover any more!!
Damn it, I can't even remember when was the last time I saw it there. BTW, can anyone kindly tell me what it is anyway? As it is not there anymore, what I can see instead is just a section of metal pipe exposed.
I hope whatever is missing there is not so critical to the engine. Im planning a visit to my dealer this weekend, just to check if anyone can give some ideas what that is before I go. Any input is appreciated!

Never mind buddy, the first pic shown is taken from an 2010 E63. Here is how my one looks like.

Sorry I havn't got much time to mark out the thing im talking about on the pic, but hopefully you get what I mean. At one point, I thought I have got that part missing but then I noticed that your pic of the engine doesn't have that little "black box" either. Hence I assume that it is the difference between a later AMG63 model and my one (2007 CLS63).
Anyway thanks a lot for the help, the CF cover and airbox look awesome!
