What about the transmission? Can it handle the extra power no problem?

7 speed works, but it won't last if I drive the car hard. 7 speed is also having trouble pairing up with the ECU. 5 speed should be installed soon though. This motor is very strong, and feels amazing .

Thank you for the kind words apdesign.

I took a steel brush that I bought from Auto Zone and went to work on my Supercharger. It's much cleaner. It seems like the dirt and grime would never come off, but the brush did the trick.

No more dimming of lights etc.

if engine's off, as it seems in the video, you are not mentioning your new big battery ..

Yes, you are correct dyno
I have two XS batteries, D3100 & D6500. My last alternator was going bad, and was never able to keep them fully charged. Dyno, I recommend getting this done to an alternator. I drove the car all day yesterday and abused my stereo for a while. I noticed that my amps stayed cool, and did not clip or cut off at all due to over heating like they did before. I didn't get any codes from the juiced up alternator. Plug and play.

I also changed the design on my speaker box. This one functions better. The subs fire toward the rear then bounces back into the car through the armrest port.

true, a proper charging system and proper battery pack will preserve your gear, too (just because as voltage lowers while you keep demanding the same output wattage level, the consequence for balancing that is an higher drain and flow of the residual current, or amperage, which makes your amps hotter ... W = V*A )

now you have best of both worlds: the upgraded Alt provides what is demanded when the engine is running while the upgraded Batt keeps up when it is not running.
btw, I had a look at XS specs and I suppose that you could locate the big 3100 batt in place of the stock one.. but where did you put the other one ?

now I see why you were after the torque of our 55K engine ... you probably have around 200lbs more weight because of that audio system

but, these are just details ...
back to your really serious Engine swap mod: if I understand correctly the stock 55K ECU supports the traction control electronics embedded in the 7-speed tranny (even if dyno mode only) .. and this is really astonishing to me

.. really you are able to change gears from first to seventh ??

Yep! To my surprise, it changes the gears just fine. Car also feels like it's adapting well, and it felt even faster today.

I had a great day today. I was invited out to a local AMG meet. Here are some pics from the event:

The event was held at Euro Motors in Bethesda MD. They really took care of us, and sponsored catering for the event. People there were shocked to see the swap and had lots of questions. I had fun chatting about the build.

Great vids, looking forward to more. BTW, when you do change the tranny out (I missed one of your posts above), will you be posting pics of that change out?

I upgraded my water pump to the CM30 Johnson Pump. Huge difference!!!! It looks smaller than the oem pump, but pumps 3 times the fluid. Wow! System seems to be operating much better, but I won't stop until I have a Monster Heat Exchanger.

Great job on the conversion! You may want to consider the SL55 heat exchanger. It should fit in front of the condensor but you may have to make a braket. Glad Rudy at Accelerated was able to get it running!

Thank you Lantana, and thanks for all of the info and phone calls that brought me to this point.
Watching Rudy work was magical . It's hart to describe, but watching a motor return from the dead is amazing.
I am doing aftermarket heat exchanger for sure. All AMG heat exchangers are very similar in size and very small.
