CLS63 AMG vs Nissan GTR

What's going on MB world?! As im sure all of you can see, im a "newbe" to this site, but I've been a fan of it for a while--it came in handy when researching about the cls63 amg. But anyways, as for myself, I'm 21 yrs old and I currently own a 2007 Chevy Avalanche LTZ. Ive had it for a little over 3 yrs now and I'm looking to get a new vehicle; (08'/09')cls63 amg or a (09'/10')nissan gtr. The only problem is, IM TORN between the two! I like them both for their own respective reasons, but I cant seem to find something to pull me more towards one oppose to the other. So thats when I turn to you all, owners (or people with a lot of knowledge of them) of the cls63 amg! I know as far as speed, the gtr is faster, at least from 0mph, but I'm unsure as to the long run. But I also want to know why you (cls63 owners) would suggest I go with this car oppose to the gtr--anything you like about it that you think makes it a better car, im open to hearing it!! Your help is greatly appreciated!!

2 different complete cars. One is a "sport" sedan and the other is car built for weekend track use. Complete different ends of the spectrum.

Yeah not in the same genre at all. The CLS 63 is a cruiser, a fast luxurious one.

You can fit 2 more girls, at least (more if they are spinners) in the CLS. Question answered.

Real back seat or like back seats so you dont have to pay higher ins. Have you drove them both? Obviously this is a CLS forum so we are a bit bias.

No I havent drove them both yet, just a cls550...but I figured it would be a little bias, but I wasnt to concerned about that..I just really wanted to see what people loved so much about their cls63s and 55s. I dont know anyone who owns either so I just wanted to possibly learn things I couldnt find on mbusa. (I am leaning more towards the 63, but just want to take in as much info as possible)

I love my CLS, can load it up n cruise out to LV with 4 people in comfort and get there fast. She turns heads and people ask me about the car a lot. The dynamic seats are super comfortable and the massage is great. the adaptive cruise is like a dream come true in LA traffic. i get 17-19 miles to the gallon. its an MB so it has a level of class that is associated with it. Not a race car but its fast as hell.

Only thing i dont like is the is the GPS cant find **** sometimes.

Go drive them both.

I thought only the Euro cars had the massaging seats?? I've owned my CLS63 for only 4 months, but I've seen nothing to indicate that it has this feature. Or is it an additional option??

Thanks!

Having driven both at my current age I would get the CLS... That being said if I had the choice at your age the GTR would be my whip without question.

GTR is stupid fast - but after having driven both i like the overall package with the benz. its very quick, very comfortable, and has a certain mystique.

the GTR is a total sports car, not luxurious, and is not too versatile BUT it will beat most people you come in contact with.

and no matter what - a cls with the right wheels and drop, people will drool...

Bro I swear I seen your car when I was in FL! I was there in Aug 09 and I stayed in Fort Lauderdale..I went to a mall about 25/30mins away and I seen it in the parking lot..only thing was the brake calibers were silver..Could that have been you? I found pics I took of it in my old phone..does this look like u? (I'm not a stalker lol this was just the first time I seen a cls55amg in person before) But regardless, your ride is nice as hell...I do like the overall package of the benz more, but I just wanted to make sure I would not be disappointed with its speed..Its not like I have gtr's and cls63's floating around where I live, so test driving them isnt that easy..I'll probably have to travel to get either of the two.

CLS.

As many have said, the GT-R is fast and good for the track. If you are not tracking it, the CLS has more versatility, more room, and is drop dead sexy. At the end of the day, it is up to you.

Not trying to sound arrogant but as a CLS owner that's how I feel:

You always notice you're driving an AMG Merc everytime in the CLS, wherever you go.

Well, for the GTR, as I love it a lot too, I'd say I will take it to the track to feel its handling and acceleration every weekend but you will only see me driving in my Merc for the rest of the time.
Hope that helps!

If your 21 get the GTR,.. you can recover from track ready suspension/ride much faster.

When your older get the MBZ, you will appreciate it then.
