2008 White on Tan CLS63 AMG
Service D

Hi, I've had my 2008 CLS63 AMG for about two months now and it shows I need a Service D in about 1,000 km's...anybody know what is required for that service and how much that would cost in Canada, I hear benz dealerships in Toronto are rip offs! Any advice is appreciated.

I don't have my manual handy otherwise I'd tell ya. Service D is 4 hours of labor according to MB and is outlined in detail in the service section of your manual.

Among other things, they check the seat belts for proper operation-big help. Just have the standard oil change along with a change of all the other fluids (brake, steering, tranny, rear end, coolant) including changing out the AC and air filters. Also include wheel alignment and balancing. You can do the filters yourself by purchasing on-line and save some $$. Don't forget to get a wax stick and lube the door, hood and trunk latches as well as silconing the guides on the sunroof.

If you have any change left over, get a quality interior and exterior detail.

Your car will say thanks.
