Transmission DEAD! Let the fun begin!

And so I went to pull away from a light today, and without the slightest warning, my tranny decides to play slip-n-slide. Vvvvvvrrrrooooom Vvvvrroooom but no go...

I shut the car off, turned it back on and was able to crawl (slipping away mind you) to a nearby parking lot. Did this on and off a few times, but was only able to move a few feet.

So what do you guys think? Transmission's toast or could it be something "simple" like a bad tranny solenoid, circuit, sensor? What about the TC? I know the transmission fluid is up to par, as I recently serviced it, and being that it doesn't leak a single drop of anything, I think it's safe to say its not a fluid issue.

Anyone else experience such misery? What was the outcome? No warranty on my end, but even if I did, I don't think I would want to go stock on another tranny anyhow. I've read up on these "heavier duty" 722.6 rebuilds that are designed to withstand even more torque. They're not cheap, but considering the host of mods I have on my car, I think a route in that direction may be in my favor?

Would love to hear everyone's thoughts, and or suggestions... Thanks!

No real update yet, but it sounds and feels (so to speak) electrical, as the car either goes into limp home mode for a short period of time / drive, or doesn't move at all. Pulling the battery, gets it moving again, so I assume something either with the trannys control module is out of whack, or something within the valve body / electrical harness is screwy.

I need to get my hands on a Star diagnostic scanner. If anyone out here has one and would be willing to scan my ride, I would be much obliged.

I'm also going to drop the pan this weekend and poke around a bit. Maybe pull down the valve body and see if everything looks kosher.

Will report back if I find anything...

Sound like a guy without a warranty?

From what you write, most likely some electrical sys part.
