Cracks appearing to front wheels

I have only recently noticed cracks to both of my cls63 wheels. I wonder what have caused them to appear as I take good care of my cls. Could it be related to over inflated tires or incorrect alignment? Any advise/feedback is welcome.

That is obviously from someone hitting the wheels with a socket as they were putting the wheels bolts on. The salt has probally gotten in there and made things worse at this point.

The thing is I have never rotated or changed my wheels/tires and live in a warm & humid climate.

Hi,

In that case, I would definitely say someone tried to steal it from your car and found out he could'nt for any reasons... (antitheft bolts... someone arrived at that time...

It's very curious to have such damages/scratches at this specific place...
It cannot be when you tried to park...
It really looks like sockets chocks...

+1 to what others have said. This looks like someone with an impact gun was quickly trying to remove/install the wheels.

Those look like dents (from a socket)....not cracks.

Could it be that a rock hit it while driving?

Unlikely...
Some of the impacts are located inside...

Impacts (stones...) while driving (aslo when parking somewhere...) are most of the time located outside and the speed creates scratches not impacts as swown on pictures...

Just an opinion...

+1. Mine have several of them. Most likely from pebbles on the road. I hated when idiots in SUV drives on the far left hand sometime going off the lane a bit as though they did it intentionally which kicks up pebbles and small rocks, and going over 70 mph really can do some damage when it hits your car or rims.

those are impact wrench marks from whenever someone removed your two front wheels.... it doesn't matter if you NEVER changed your tires.... you wheels have clearly been removed for brakes, or some other work at the shop when you weren't standing next to your vehicle. I have the same exact thing on my wheels, as well as many previous responses on this thread.
