Storage compartment behind console control panel?
I was curious... is there a storage compartment behind the wood trim covered control panel (where the heated/ventilated seats, hazzard, lock buttons, etc.)?
I saw a couple pics through the past months which showed this panel pivoting up revealing a small storage compartment...is this true or is it someone's custom job? If it is a stock storage compartment, how do I open it up on my 2009 CLS550?

Owner's manual doesn't say anything about storage behind this console panel. I know that the CD changer was behind this panel in previous model years. I am just posting this because I saw a picture of someones CLS that had an open compartment behind this panel.

MLB550, i believe the 08> units with updated Command (SD card Reader) does not allow you to do that. Normally there is a silver tab just below the Hazard Light switch. Hope this helps.
