LED running lights?

I have an '07 CLS63 and I'm trying to come up with a solution to add the running lights that are found on the new CLS63. I've seen a ton of options on eBay, but has anyone added the LED running lights and do you guys have any specific suggestions? I never use my fogs, so I think I could easily wire them there.

Any pics from a CLS?

i am very interested in getting this done too. i find this product to be the best fit in terms of matching the styling of our headlights, similar to the new E-class. i am hesitating because i don't want this to look generic on our beautiful car.....=/

Ive been looking at doing this for a while...from what i have seen people put led rope lights inside their headlight assembly. but im looking for something a little more oem looking. i was thinking of getting the E63 led lights and trying to place them below or above our current fogs...

the ebay options are fine if they assure you no "check bulb" error. I have them in my 208 and looks great

I would like some LED daytime running lights too.
Came across a nice one by MH Dezent, but looks like it is a full bumper replacement.

I actually like that new bumper and spoiler with the LED lights, but I can't read anything in German. More pics and info here:

If anyone can help out, it would be greatly appreciated.

LED running lights

I'm looking at that too , ijdmtoy.com lights has a mercedes E-class equivalent . I thinking of trying that and changing the bumper is totally out the question. Not oem looking.. My installer said they have had a guy who's went through several different manufactures and had nothing but problems getting them to work , I don't know if his has used this company and the car is a BMW . I hope we all can fine something that will work and reasonable priced ... Badm

Yeah, I hear ya. I with you on trying to go about this at a reasonable price.

The only reason why I am willing to get a new bumper is because the bottom spoiler, just below the foglight, is cracked. Even if I purchased a Carlsson lip or equivalent, you would still be able to see where it is cracked. The aftermarket lip will cover only some of it.

Looks like the article I linked above inidicates 1,980 Euros. That's well over $2,000 USD for that bumper. Brabus rocket is in the $1,600 neighborhood. Might as well go that route instead and add the LED daytime running lights to that.

Still looking for answers but thanks for the response.

I agree with you on the bumper thing , u have to go with the Brabus rocket bumper its less money and it " THE ROCKET" and a top tuner equipment, that would look real mean with LED lights. To bad about bumper cracked . My car is lowered so I'm very aware of bumper height and parking or driving up & down drive ways.. Badm

I still like the MH Dezent front bumper very much. It's like a more aggressive OEM bumper, while the Rocket bumper is *****-to-the-walls race-look.

Any other suggestions on bumpers and LEDs are more than welcome.

Thanks.

I installed these a few months ago.

I bought the smoked version, and I like them so far. Made a custom bracket to hold them in place, and gave them a floating look.

By the way, I went through two sets of tye cheap lights on eBay. The seals are not good at all and water got in them. So far these are resisting water and moisture, which is very important.

The 5 LEDs I think looks best on the CLS.
Great choice and you're absolutely right about the water issue. Moisture getting inside the lamp creates condensation in the lens cover that will never go away.

Thanks for pics.
Your car is looking better every time.

niceeee. Because of your bumper, this is by far the best LED light placement I have seen on the CLS. In my eyes, most of the ones I have seen completely look out of place on the bumper.

Thank you guys

I've always prefered the brabus front bumper, but I think I will be happy with this look for a while.
