i purchased the racing dash replacement led lights that replaces the whole light housing and for the life of me cannot figure out how to remove that chrome trunk molding thats preventing the light housing to be pushed out.

i followed this diy (http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Mercedes-Er...-DIY-a/199.htm) and got everything out except that stubborn molding. the diy shows an e class and i guess my trunk is a bit different since i didnt notice that chrome trunk piece in their pics.

can anyone help me please? id hate to think i took everything apart for no reason

You have to remove clips from inside the trunk and pop it out.Most likely will break.This is the only way to get the light housing out.
. If youre really careful it shouldn't break. ALS use double side molding tape to reinstall it.hope that helps.

yea, be careful cuz they are easy to break

thanks for the help guys, i think im just gonna get the bulbs themselves and sell these housing replacements...i dont want to take apart everything and tape it back up.
