Hmmm.. Should I?
So I wanted to buy a used CLS63 AMG 2007 for $46800.

Just saw it said it has a v12 with 700hp, I don't know if it really does or not since I'm not familiar what those engines look like but they may be pulling your leg..
Horsepower: 707
Torque: 465.
Those numbers don't seem right to me, if it has 707hp the torque should be much higher than it is.

Those numbers don't seem right to me either... but I gave them a message and they said it does have that much hp but I'm still not fully convinced though. I heard through other forums the 63 is really a daring (i don't know if it's the right word) car to drive and I really want to give it a shot at it also..

Well I looked up a regular cls63 for the engine pic to compare them and it looks exactly the same as your pic. So the the car only has the normal V8. So they either have no clue what they are talking about or they are trying to put one over on you. Either way I wouldn't get that car, but that is your choice. It just seems like the dealer is shady. What is the other cls at that dealership I saw in the background?
On the other hand it does look to have the performance package. It looks like it needs a good professional detail job. Did you test drive it? You would know if it had 700hp over 500hp. The price seems to be around the market value from what I just saw on autotrader.

I'm surprised that someone who quickly dismisses the world class 63 engine in favor of a 6yr old cls55 wouldn't know exactly what the 63 offers without having to look it up...

Absolutely not the V12 and is in fact the V8 6.2L (M156) motor.
As already posted, it was a simple typo. Horsepower is 507 not 707.
I'd pass on this car at that price.

you can get a weistec supercharger for the 63 and own the 55 with all its mods. supercharged 63 = 774hp + 645tq
I know what the 6.3 V8 has to offer. The listing said it was a V12 with 707hp, he even messaged them and they still said it has 707hp. I thought the engine looked like the 6.3 but never saw the V12 engine. He said it was somewhere around $47000 and had 48,000 miles. All I was saying is that the cls55 is easier to mod (pulley+tune) to gain more hp. For what he is looking to spend for $47000 he is looking at more of the higher mileage and more of the "used and abused" 07 cls63. For $47000 he can get pretty much the best out there now low mile mint cls55 which is only 1 year older then the car he was looking at. It and probably won't even cost him the total amount. He could also find one that is already modded if he would like also and would still come in under $47000. He is new and looking for help. I just trying to give him options. Maybe he didn't know that the 06 had a supercharged 5.5 or maybe he did I don't know. Thats why I asked him if he was set on the 63.

This is true and the supercharger kit cost $15,000... What does this have to do with the op buying a car for $47,000? Do you know of a weistec supercharged cls63 for sale for that price?

That ones from langley or something right? or somewhere by vancouver? I was looking online when I found mine in June 2010 so its definitely been on sale for a long time. It definitely doesn't look like its in good shape.

Have you tried this site? I've found a few nice ones on here, but I have no clue where you live or how far you want to travel. I would test drive a cls55 also just to see if you like it.
