Hi, I was comparing the new CLS63 to the CLS350 and noticed that the Comand user interface is a bit different, where the CLS350 seems to have a newer version that shows the MP3 cover image, you can search for songs via artist, title, etc., Tel has options for viewing SMS, etc.

Does anyone know if the CLS350 had an upgrade with the Comand software and I could get the same software upgrade on the CLS63?

 

My 63TT has all that you just mentioned in the 350...

Interesting.........I don't think my Command has those functions either.....mine is a 2012 CLS63. Has there been version upgrade in the same model year?

 

How do you view SMS? Does it work with iPhone because it definitely doesn't work for me!

 

hmmmmmm very odd. Do you have the little globe symbol in the top right for Sirius? When I click on that I get weather for my zip code and other options.

I have blackberry so I am not sure if its phone specific but it should be as SMS is SMS. Just go to phone (top bar) and then at the bottom you should see messages. Click on that and any messages on your phone will appear with just the sender's phone number (my doesnt show the name). Once you click on the phone number the message will appear. You then have more options where you can have the Nav Lady's voice read it you...

Whats cool is even if you are not on the phone screen (lets say you are on the audio screen) and someone texts you; you will hear a very faint beep and you can see the envelope icon in the top bar.

 

Yeah, I definitely don't see the SMS info anywhere under the "Phone" menu.

Also, when I had my X5M, it would display album covers from my Ipod. On my CLS, it doesn't do it at all!

 

Not even the word "message" at the bottom of the screen when you are in the Phone Menu?

You might need an update- my car was built in Aug 2011.

 

I also own a CLS 63(2012). The MB has to offer the newest Command after June 2011. All CLS 350 comes with COMMAND ONLINE (internet) and CD/MP3 COVER ART
I've complained to MB Brazil but nothing has been done so far. I feel deceived by MB
