Spacers on front of CLS55

Just bought my cls55 3 weeks ago and ended up trading some 22" rims I had laying around for some 20's for the car. As luck would have it, they do not clear the front caliper even though the guy swore they came off an AMG. He is suggesting using a spacer for clearance. How safe is this? Am I going to have problems with the front wheels now hitting the fender wells? Also, I'm concerned about vibration. If someone has done this and can recommend a brand of spacer please advise. Thanks.

well, I just decided to order some 10mm H&R spacers and 40mm bolts. I guess I will just try that first.
