Tune only reviews for CLS55?

Hello,

New to the forum and MB World. I recently purchased a CLS55 and am completely blown away by the car. Amazing ride, power and build quality.

I have been looking at the Eurocharge tune and pulley. I know the combo would be best but I am looking for reviews on the tune only. I searched but found practically nothing.

Can anyone give some details of a tune only? Gains, response, anything?

Much appreciated.

Send it to RENNtech instead! They seem to have the strongest powergain & 1/4 trap speed for the W218 CLS63:

Im partial to OETuning since they tuned my SL55. I hear good things about EC. You cant go wrong with either tuner.

My gains from just a tune from OE (Jeremy)
Dyno runs...431.9HP and 474.4TQ completely stock, and with an off the shelf 93 octane tune she made 461.3hp and 509.

168 pulley and tune made 487hp and 550tq.

ummmmmm he said he drives a 55 not a CLS63TT---- tuning a turbo and a supercharged engine is apples and oranges.

As for the 55 with a tune only you will gain some negligible hp but nothing truly noticeable- you need to do the pulley and tune to see the gains- basically called a stage I.

would you mind sharing some more insights about your tune, as i have been sitting on the fence for a long time deciding whether to do it or not! How long have you had the tune (pulley and ecu as this is what i want) for and how has the car behaved since the tune? In addition prior to the tune, how long have you driven the car stock, as i am mostly concerned with the general drivebility and the performance... is it really much faster? Thanks

p.s. I am hoping to order a tune from the US, and run it in europe on RON100 Octane fuel with a mercedes fuel additive, how does that compare to US 93 Octane?

Tnx in advance

Tune only garnered 30hp and 35tq more than stock tune and yes you can feel the added power....pulley and dyno tune added 56hp and 76tq from stock.
I recently had a retune due to header installation. You can feel the added power that's for certain. Drivability isn't affected at all. Tune only If I remember correctly had been done beginning of 09. Pulley and retune short time after and header tune done 3 weeks ago. Not familiar with overseas octane but, Jeremy has done many tunes for cars located in Europe and I'm sure he can answer that question.
