CLS 55 AMG - one of the last off the AMG line

Replace the Sub in parcel shelf - Sub upgrade

So my sub from the Harman stock factory amp (06 CLS55 AMG) is causing horrible vibrations in the parcel shelf behind the rear seat. I see lots of audio posts from folks saying replacing the Harman sub with another (even possibly driven by the HK amp is a straight forward and easy mod.

Has anyone done it, and if so know how to remove the parcel shelf ? Would there be any reason for the vibration normally - (I dont even have the bass at any higher than medium/flat) ?

Should I just take it to Merc to sort out, or bite the bullet and put in an aftermarket cone in there ?

Best would be the MB-AMG in Bedfordview.

Keep her oem on the audio comand.

if someone can get me specs on the stock sub and HK amp i can research for some option.

e.g. sub size, sub impedance, amp power rating, amp impedance rating, etc

as for the vibrations, a strong sub would just make it worse. may try some sound deadening/dampening materials first

second skin audio makes some great products for this
