Can I Run a.......
285/30/20 on a CLS? It is stock.....FOR NOW but I won't be lowering it much. I really don't want to risk a 25 series tire in NJ.

I run a 285/30/20 Hancook EVO tire on my CLS55. 20x11's. Never had an issue. I even go a tad bigger to a 295/30/20 when I put my other rims on when I go to cruises.

I am also running 285-30-20 on the rear for the CLS ...it is 1" larger than stock which concerns me , but the car came that way and now I am considering changing to 275-30-20 with 255-30-20 .. that way I am closer to stock sizes .. but as far as rubbing I dont have any but my car is not slammed at all . I feel the same as you regarding the 25 series rear tires , I am originally from New york so I know NJ roads !!

Can I see photos of your car with 255/35/20 for front, 285/30/20. Very interested in seeing what it looks like. Getting ready to order some wheels with identical tire sizes!

do you guys know what the proper off-sets should be for 20x9, 20x11? how about a 20x10.5?
does it depend on the tire size at all? would a 285 have a different rear wheel off-set compared to say a 305?
i've consistently read that 255-30 is the best set up for front. how about the rear?

2005 BLK/BLK E-Double Nickel.
it can be done, but it may throw off the speedometer.. proper series for 20" rims on the rear would be 25.
speaking from experience here... plus it just looked wrong
