CLS55: Delete Resonator or 2nd Cats?
Car is bone stock, for now. Looking for just a bit more growl, and possibly less restriction for the headers that I'd like to add later.
Sooooo many threads here, and soooo many opinions, amongst sooooo many models, I'm not sure what to think. I understand our CLS mufflers are already less restrictive than other models, so other than the OEM exhaust manifolds, where is the next bottleneck? I've read here that the resonator does almost nothing other than balance the sound and that removing the cats is the way to go.
Advice or thoughts from folks that have done either???
Thank you.

Since you have a 55- Id remove the post cats and leave the resonator. You will need some back pressure for the super charged engine.
On my E55 I removed the post cats and the resonator and lost some low end tq- I put back in the resonator and the car was alive again.
