what the hell do spacers do? and what is offset?
I dont do wheels and I run stock so I have no idea what the hell these are..

They go between the rim and the hub and essentially they push the wheels out closer to the fender. Most people prefer the "flush" look where the fender is directly inline with the face of the wheel. Offset I cant really describe but a et45 is a wheel that is further away from being flush that an et35, for example. I did them on my Audi so Im pretty much an expert for Audis, but a MB is probably different as far as the hub size, flushness et and so on
So spacers help with offset? and the lower the offset number... the more flush it is?

I have also heard spacers and plates increase stress on the bolts. Obviously affecting the offset is going to affect the handling.
