Lowering module questions????

Anyone have any thoughts between using mechanical links and carlsson c-tronic lowering module. I know the cost must be double or triple ? Not sure if I understand how the module works. I saw some info that the most you can lower a W219 is 15mm? How much does the mechanical option lower the car? Is 15mm the standard distance? Thanks for your input.

I have a Renntech v3 on my W212 e550, and love it. The module is easy to install and comes with a usb cord. I have the Usb in my glove compartment for easy access to hook up to my laptop. The v3 comes with a disc to enter their program onto your computer. I can change my heights in (I think) 5mm increments at each corner seperate. The program shows an overview of the vehicle, and you just click on which wheel you want to lower and select the height. There are 3 seperate user settings to save to. There is also a speed setting, which is what speed you would like your car to raise back to stock,, for highway use. I have mine set at 65mph. Hope this helps, I'm not sure about the other lowering module you mentioned. There is a video on YOUTUBE for the install and usage of the v3, just search Renntech v3 and it should come up. Module is $1395.00

Sorry, forgot to let you know my settings. My car is set at 1.76" lower in the front and 1.30" in the rear on 20's. I am sure the cls is very similar and can be lowered a lot lower than just 15mm, thats only about a 1/2".

Get the M1 lowering module. Its the most advanced lowering module to date. Plug and play harness and control the ride height from your steering wheel while watching the ride height setting display on your instrument cluster. No remotes, no in cabin exposed wires, No 3rd party CPU needed. Just as easy as scrolling through the menus on your dash display.

We got them so PM me if you need one.

I have the Programa ELM v2...allows for lowering up to -2.0inches front and rear with the touch of a botton from the remote control.

I installed a Renntech ELM v1, which is an earlier model that needs to be soldered into the system. if youre good with tools and such it shouldnt take more than an 2 hours to install. Now that they have plug an play modules i would highly recommend them, even modules that have external remotes.
I have no experience with the lowering links but have heard that when using links to lower, youre are tricking the system so that it thinks its at stock height, so keep in mind when you are driving at speed the car will lower its self more.
