Keyless entry help

According to my dealer, my KE handles are all damaged, they have quoted me $400/pop... yes, $400!!!, I am in Costa Rica, where its more expensive than Dubai

As a good boy, I googled my problem and came across a thread that listed part numbers for what I need, Driver side KE handle part # 2157600570 and passenger # 2157600670 (I also need Drivers side back door handle, but that part wasn't listed).

Is there a dealer here in the forum that I can buy this from?, and tips please?

Yes, you can buy the KE handles themselves for 140ish US. Www.oediscountparts.com they come paint matched. You just need to know your paint code.

thanks, but it seems that part is not listed there, http://www.oediscountparts.com/parts...Y%20COMPONENTS

All I see is receiver and transmitters...

I have looked on line before, but the handles don't seem to be listed anywhere

No, they are, I just bought mine from them. Give them a call, they'll pick up on the first ring and help you.

there is a DIY on these boards as to how to do the install on an E-Class, however, there is no DIY for the CLS. Before taking mine to MB to have the work done (cost me a cool $420 + tax, incl. parts), I played with the idea of doing a DIY on it...I looked high and low for the torx screw holding in the handle, removed the weather stripping on the side of the door, kept looking, and couldnt find anything. Hopefully you can figure this out and let us know...

Sorry to re-open, will replacing the handles fix the problem? or did you buy other parts to make it work?

Because in my case, only one handle opens and closes my car.

It's on this site somewhere. I used the instructions to do my LF handle.
I remember that you had to pry away the rubber door moulding adjacent to the handle where there's a bolt to undo. The hardest part of the job for me was
connecting the electric connector because it had so little slack
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but I know it's on this site somewhere.

Thanks man, I'll figure it out. It's not a real high priority right now since I only need to lock it about once a month.

My indie mechanic did it for me, perfectly executed.
