D2S 5000k replacement bulbs

I see lots of these on eBay from $19 to $100 per pair. Anyone tried these yet? Want to upgrade to a pure white bulb. I was told 5000k is very white, without the blue look.

Is the factory bulb 4500k ?

I still have factory bulbs :

Thanks in advance for any input

I've used Osram D1S Cool Blue Intense Xenarc 5000k on my '11 W212 E63 and yes it is white -- looks really good actually. Used 6000k on my old 09 CLS63 and it is blueish with a bit of purple to it. I suggest going with 5000k.

Cool! Thanks for the info. Just bought a pair if 5000K. I'll post up a pic when I install them.

Received my new aftermarket 5000K bulbs. Only cost me $24.99 on eBay.

Bulb to the right is OEM, and bulb to the left is the new 5000k.

Here is a pic with both bulbs installed. Very happy with them, and they look very white in person.
