Navigation questions

I recently upgraded my 02 ml55 from cd to dvd. I'm unsure of the version of nav disc I received but the nav unit does everything. Tells you time and miles to destination and the actual time. It zooms in and gives an almost googlelike view of the earth to within 1/8 mile. My 06 cls55 has the original disc and is nothing like the ML. I have the books but it seems like 5 miles is all the closer it zooms and the views are bare basic compared to he ML. It gives no range to trip end or eta as the ML does. Am I doing something wrong or missing something? Any assistance would be graciously appreciated. Thanks.

As far as locating the eta, push anyone of the 10 buttons around the screen with a little dash on them. From there click the top left button next to the word 'info' that will appear on the screen. There you'll see how many miles & eta.

Thanks a million! Can anyone tell me if there was ever an upgrade to the original disc and when it was? Thanks again all.

The '06-'11 navigation interface on the CLS is poor compared to newer models, but a map update should help you. Keep in mind that this is only a map update, NOT an interface update. My '07 had the original '06 NAV disc and was missing a ton of map info since a major interchange was redone where I live. According to the seller I bought the disc from, the 2013 NAV update will be the last that Navteq will do for my '07. I'm not sure how much truth is in that, but the update was worth it for me nonetheless.

Thanks so much for the information. I will begin the hunt for the most current map update.

Exact same view from what I can tell. I believe the only differences are the added roads. Still no Garmin though Kinda sad that a $100 handheld unit could run circles around this thing.
