Cold start after resonator delete and secondary cats removal...
I paid 325$ for this set up, its cheaper if you don't get x pipe though..
Next time I am driving past a tunnel I will record the sound it makes.. What I love most about this mod though is that its not some ghetto Honda loud exhaust when even when your at a red light you can here it idling or droning, its nice and quiet like before when stopped or at cruising speeds its not to loud but has a nice aggressive tone to it, but once that pedal touches closer and closer to the floor, the more you'll hear "OMG what is that?!?!?" from the other cars around you, and at highway driving I love when you accelerate because you can now actually hear the exhaust from inside the car , sort of like my old Jeep SRT

Thanks!! Love driving my car now , it's like it's hit puberty finally and has a man voice lol. Indeed do so, you won't be disappointed , I would google some exhaust shops though for Mercedes where ever your located... Don't just take it to your random local auto shop.. Find out the best for the best

Your car sounds awesome, make me want to do it too.
How loud does it get inside the cabin at cruising speed compared to before? Are there any drooning sounds (low vibrating sounds) that will hurt your ears if you have to drive for a long time (1-2 hrs). Thanks.
Did the shop custom make your x-pipe or you purchased online through a shop?

Cruising speed you will not hear a thing just like before(15-50mph)inside the cabin, but if you are on the highway going about 60-100mph you will hear just a bit but when you accelerate you will hear a very nice and smooth groan of the car which is not loud at all but a more relaxing and comforting sound lol , it does not drone at all at any speeds, nor does hurt your ear, and yes the shop made it themselves , google around for some good muffler exhaust shops most of them will carry there own pipes and can do the work for you the same day you schedule without ordering anything special, unless thats what you want

There are no sensors on the secondary cats, only the main ones.. if you get them all taken off then yes you will need to get it tuned so CEL will not show anymore

Anyone got any pics here?
I have had my resonator deleted and was looking to get the secondary cats deleted? (Where are the 1st placed?).
Does this allow for any pops and bangs on over-run to come through? I miss that from my TVR and wondering if I can replicate.
Thanks all

Definitely remove your secondary cats. I did my resonator & 2nd cats at the same time - here's a clip of how it sounds
The primary cats are in front of the secondary cats (going in the direction of the engine). I would only remove those if you are installing headers.

On my CLS 55AMG I deleted the resonator, left the secondary cats. It wasn't noticeable to me until you got on the gas. In the cabin it was barley noticeable, but it got the attention of people walking down the street or other car enthusiasts driving down the road. I then bought me a set of remote control exhaust cut outs and had them installed. Inside the car it the exhaust sounds awesome. Not obnoxious, just "throaty". Outside of the car it must be bad ***, because I see people looking , staring, at my car like, WTF is that incredible hot rod noise coming out of that Mercedes. I always leave my exhaust by pass open. The only time I close them is to show somebody how they work. I have $800 invested in my exhaust. One could easily invest $2500 + in a exhaust system for our cars and it wouldn't sound any better than my $800 system. Resonator delete and muffler by pass is a cheap and effective way to get "that sound" out of our cars. I also noticed a definite increase in throttle response with my set up. I'm sure long tube headers and cat delete would be even better, but I can't see it being $2000 better than my set up, for a car I only drive on sunny days. These AMG kompressor cars are way better than any American muscle cars from the late '60's, early 70's . More power, more luxury, better handling, you just can't beat them for the $$.

So no check engine light came on after you deleted second cat?
So
Definitely remove your secondary cats. I did my resonator & 2nd cats at the same time - here's a clip of how it sounds CLS 55 AMG Acceleration with Resonator and Secondary Cats Removed - YouTube
