HELP: Need a code scanner for CLS55! Which one??
Hey guys,
I've done some searching and can't come up with anything conclusive. I just had my CEL come on and I'm certain is exhaust related but want to be able to read codes and clear them in the future. If anyone has insight as to a good, inexpensive option I'd appreciate the feedback!

I purchased LYL® Elm327 WIFI Wirless OBD2 Car Diagnostic Reader Scanner Scan Tool for Iphone iPad iOS PC and i really like it . Its very small ( i keep it on the glove box all the time ) and can be used with laptop , tablet or iphone ( they have Android version of this reader as well ) and can be used with many different apps, i use it with DashCommand app https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dash...321293183?mt=8

Yip it depends what platform you going to use. The wireless one is for the Apple products otherwise if you Android fan like me then the bluetooth option is very cheap. Just an elm327 bluetooth scanner reader dongle with the app I use is Torque Pro will read codes and clear them with a whole bunch of xtra ecu readings live while driving like monitoring temps and boost etc... Very cheap option that works the bomb. Good luck

Thanks guys! That's exactly the info I was looking for. Just curious, I've got an Android phone and Ipad...is one easier than the other??
Also, just to be clear, I need ONLY the LYL® Elm327 WIFI Wirless OBD2 Car Diagnostic Reader Scanner Scan Tool for Iphone iPad iOS PC and then just download the proper app?
I not very tech/computer saavy and appreciate the help

Right , you will need to download app on your device , there is few apps that are free and Dash Command that i use will cost you 9 or 10 bucks.

Thanks guys. Ordered one yesterday and a buddy of mine ran the code for me. Sure enough...CAT related. I need that code turned off completely so I'm going to reach out to Cory @ Kleemann to see if he can help.
Any one else have this problem? On my last CLS I had NO CATS and never got a CEL. This one actually has a pair of hi flow so I'm not exactly sure what I can do. I don't want to have to be clearing the code every other day.
