Yeah I keep going back and forth, luckily I have some time to decide. Do you have any pictures of your setup? Those are wiiiiiide

Thanks for chiming in. This makes me wonder if I can fit Michelin Pilot Super Sport's 255/35-20 and 305/30-20 with no rubbing issues in the rear.

I just picked up 255/35/20 for my fronts.
They don't seem to be rubbing but man is it close!
The 255/35/20 makes the ride a lot nicer upfront.
I have 305/25/20 in the rear but now it doesn't look right with all the sidewall on the front and none on the rear.
I'm looking more rubber on the rear I have 11.5 rims in the rear.
Any suggestions are welcome.

You have 255/35 or 255/30 up front?

You could try a 285/30/20

That sidewall measures 3.4" (77mm)

Your front side wall comes in at 3" (86mm)

OR

you might try a 315/25/20. It might be too wide but sidewall measures:

3.1" (79mm)

Let us know what route you take!

Ps, I run a 295/30/20 out back on an 11" wheel. Slightly stretched, and on ur 11.5" rear, gonna need the 305 min width.

Damn those are wide at 11.5, I don't think you can even do that on the W211 E-Class even though it's the same chassis and all.

I can't believe we can fit such tall sidewalls!!, I run 255/30 and 305/30 and sometimes the fronts rub when I'm near full lock.

I really want go up to 255/35 and 305 /30 but I was concerned they'd be a nightmare, rubbing all over the place and whatnot.

Sir Boost, are you lowered?, if so, how many mm's?

I have 255/35/20... it was a typo I havent seen any rub marks im not lowered that much with all the rubber you really dont need to

what 305/30/20 are you guys running i only saw i think Toyo's with that size

i would prefer Directional (Unidirectional) tire in the rear so I can flip them as they wear

Michelin makes that size, in fact I was a little disappointed that they didn't make a 305/25/20 for the pilot super sport.

Sir-Boost-a-Lot, any pics of your CLS with those size tires? I already gave up on 20 inch rims since i bent 1 set of Forgestars, then i bent my HRE's! Went back to 19's after that.

thanks,

So that is stock ride height, right? Sexy sexy sexy HREs. I can't decide if I like the 255/30/20--305/25/20 rubber band look or slightly more meat on them, can't wait for more pictures.

Its dropped just a touch to clean up the fender gap. That's my personal preference, I've had a few cars slammed on rubber bands in the past and won't go there again unless it's strictly a show car.

If running 20" rims, you should have 30 series tires front and 25 rears. If you go 35 front and 30 rear, your speedometer will be off. This link is a good guide for rim/tire fitment.

@Sir-Boost-a-Lot, cars slammed on their ***** are just a little to hard to deal with sometimes especially in a place like Colorado. I like lowered above the tire to get wheel gap not slammed as you said. I assume to rubbing issues with your setup?

@AMGroach I never drive the speed limit anyway and it's less than a 5% difference so not too worried about it lol
