How to Remove the center console AC vent on CLS63

One of the movable verticle "fins" in the right side on the center console AC vent has fallen off. I think I need to replace the whole unit but can't figure out how to remove it.
Anybody done that before?

IIRC you just have to pull it,
but you can easily damage the chrome trim
that's why I had to replace mine ..

dyno, do you mean just pull out, are there any tabs to release…what does IIRC mean. where did you grab it…no need to remove any wood trim

IIRC if I remember correctly

it was pulled by my installer (who damaged the chrome ..)
I am 99% sure there are no screws
and you don't need to remove the wood trim.

where to grab it correctly is the issue ...
as you see, there are 2 metal clips both on top and on bottom
but I think it should come out from top first.

Again, if you'll press against the chrome edge, it WILL get damaged

hope this helps
