CLS 550
Engine Stutter.
Hi I have 2007 CLS550. Recently while the car is standing still, the car's engine has a very noticeable stutter, like its missing a beat. I also notice this while driving, but not as much. I used to drive a stick shift before and it feels like that jerk you feel when you shift gears on a stick shift. On this car its much more noticeable when standing still. Could this be a problem with the spark plugs? I bought the car used and I doubt they have been replaced. The car has ~78K miles on it. If it is a spark plug problem, the check engine light should be on but it is not. Any ideas? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Only other thing I can think of, though its highly unlikely the cause. My battery was drained last week (valet left headlights on), I jump started it and its been running fine since. Lets say if my battery needs to be replaced, I highly doubt it'll be causing this? Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks.
